Zucchini Bars

Cake:
3 large eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups white granulated sugar
2 cups grated zucchini
3 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/3 cups white flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup chopped dates

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3-oz. cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar

Cake:  In a large mixing bowl, mix eggs, vegetable oil, sugar, zucchini, and vanilla.  In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking, powder, and baking soda.  Add to first mixture, mixing thoroughly.  Stir in nuts and dates.  Bake in greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Cool and then frost.  Frosting:  In a medium-size bowl, combine the butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and confectioners sugar with an electric mixture.  Frost on cooled cake.
