Chocolate Marble Squares

1 cup butter, room temperature

2 cups light brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose white flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

3 cups quick cooking rolled oats

6 oz. Nestle chocolate chips

14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk

In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.  Mix in flour, salt, and baking soda.  Stir in rolled oats.  Spread only 2/3 of mixture in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch lightly greased baking pan.  In a double boiler (water just simmering; not boiling), melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk together, stirring until smooth.  Spread chocolate mixture evenly over mixture in pan.  Use your fingers to place dollops of remaining dough over chocolate mixture, leaving spaces where chocolate will peek through.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.  Let cool at room temperature, cut and enjoy.
