Spiced Barbecue Ham for Sandwiches

1/4 cup onion, diced
4 tablespoons white granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 pound chipped, spiced ham (or thin sliced)

Combine all ingredients above, except ham,  in saucepan.  Bring to a boil.  Simmer 10 minutes over low heat, stirring often.  Add ham.  Keep hot in crock pot.  Serve on rolls.
